The ILU can be your first step if your organization would like information or assistance about defining the challenging issues that persons with disabilities may present in a learning, working, or otherwise public environment. We encourage you to contact us prior to challenges developing so that we can facilitate a best path of action. The basis for providing the services we offer is to assist persons with disabilities with the guidance of federal disabilities legislation. The ILU uses Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and The Americans with Disabilities Act to guide recommendations made to its clients. These laws require that adjustments be considered for persons with disabilities and the unique needs of those disabilities. This is done to provide persons with disabilities with equal access to whatever environment their peers engage who do not have disabilities.
