The ILU mission is to assist in the development of practices and policies as they relate to persons with disabilities and the organizations into which they are integrated. Our partners are committed to aligning different disabilities program interpretations so that they can best merge into one another. Clear transitioning between disabilities programs ensures that services are not broken or inconsistent. Our intention is to help persons or organizations navigate through separate disabilities programs more efficiently.
The ILU is an organization that offers disabilities policy analysis and program design. Our goal is to develop a clear logical path for individuals with significant impairments (or organizations which assist them) to engage the various disabilities programs, protocols and policies. One of our objectives is to review the major intersections between disability programs for efficacy and efficiency.
Organizations that work with persons having disabilities often find it difficult to navigate through three functional areas or pieces of the accommodations puzzle. Our goal is to explain these working components and develop the best way to fit one puzzle piece into the next.
The ILU Name Origin
We strive towards making our learning and working environments accessible to all who wish to participate in the same activities as their non-disabled peers. Our company name represents this principle. The “L” in the ILU heading represents the need to LEARN about the complexities of a diverse disabilities field. The “U’ in our heading represents the desire to UNDERSTAND how to maneuver through these intricacies.
