| ILU Overview - Follow Through |
Making the Mission Happen

The ILU is a think tank that offers advice. The
intention of our partners is to both counsel and be
an information source for individual clients as well
as organizational decision makers. Our specialty is
disabilities identification, accommodation
development, policy design and program delivery.
We can develop a clear logical path for our clients
which helps them to integrate their various
disabilities delivery systems. There are currently
270 different federal programs serving persons with
disabilities. Many of these programs have their own
unique way of assessing persons as qualified for
services in support of their disability. This means
that the same person may be considered disabled
under one system such as Veterans Administration and
not be considered disabled under the policies of a
public education system or a private insurance
system.
The ILU partners can provide advisement to clients
who may be traversing between two or more
disabilities systems. We review the major
intersections in disabilities programming as they
are relevant to special cases or broader policy
protocol. These are:
- Quantifying clinical assessments
- Developing accommodations as directly tied to
the reported disability
- Reviewing policy that guides consistent
decision making.
